What is Running Love?
For some reason, maybe because it was the weekend of Valentine’s day, these lines were stuck in my head. It is a sonnet by Shakespeare made more famous by the Emma Thompson/Kate Winslet adaption of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility.
One of my favorite poems about love is a sonnet by Shakespeare made more famous by the Emma Thompson/Kate Winslet adaption of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility.
“Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no; it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests, and is never shaken;”
What is Love?
Love is enjoying a run together with the perfect pace, even though your paces are very different.
Love is chatting up with your mom-is-no-longer-cool tweenager on a long and easy run.
Love is doing things I love with the people I love
Love is long run therapy on trails with friends while talking about crazy kids and husbands and families
Love is having a tribe to do crazy things with.
Love is helping Naomi run through the Publix GA Half Marathon
Love is discovering all that my body and mind is capable of.
Love is enjoying the solitude that a long run provides. Just me, my thoughts, and myself.
