These final metres of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON are unforgettable – not at last thanks to the Brandenburg Gate. The early-classicist 20-meter high triumphal gate was built at the request of King Friedrich Wilhelm II between the years 1789-1793. It became worldwide known during the separation of Germany, the border between East and West Berlin passed directly by the Brandenburg Gate. Today it is the symbol of the German reunification in 1990. Enjoy the final meters through the gate, the threshold to greatness! ?
