The Day I made History
I suppose the day I made history was actually the day I first laced up and stepped out for a run/jog/walk/waddle.
But this hot humid day of July 30th was history of some sorts too. The air was so thick that you could slice it. I woke up late and scrambled to make the run in time. My pre-run food was rebelling against me. I was pretty sure I didn’t hydrate as well I should’ve the day before. I wasn’t feeling my usual ‘lets do this’ self at the start.
But …
Today, July 30th, I went 14 miles, my longest run till date.
There will be many more historical moments to come as I increase miles and train for the Chicago Marathon, but the first time will always be special.
